2009 Scholarship winners announced!
We are thrilled to announce Hutt Valley High School student, Emma Hanson, is the winner of the 2009 QRC Diploma of Adventure Tourism Management Scholarship and Iona College student, Hareta Stanbridge, is the winner of the Diploma of Hospitality Management Scholarship.
The scholarships were established to identify two New Zealander teenagers who deserve the opportunity of having a world class education and who would become outstanding ambassadors for QRC. The scholarships cover the full tuition fee to the value of $25,000 for the duration of the 2 year programmes.
Emma impressed the Scholarship Panel with her passion for the adventure tourism industry and her desire to one day become an operations manager for an adventure tourism management company, while Hareta's work ethic and leadership skills stood out.
Hareta's goal is to complete her third year of a Bachelor of International Business from Cesar Ritz Colleges, Switzerland. Her overall career goal is to one day run her own Resort.
