Accommodation with QRC

Introduction

QRC Lodge is a fully furnished halls of residence for QRC students located 1.5km's from central Queenstown and the QRC campus.

Student LoungeAs a student of QRC, living with your peers is an important part of your integration into student life. For this reason, QRC has recently purchased a halls of residence that encourages communal living. If you want to live with certain students or friends, Student Relations staff will try their best to fulfill your wishes.

It is recommended that QRC students live at QRC lodge during their first term of study to ensure they settle into the busy student life and the surroundings of Queenstown in a fun and strong pastoral care environment.

The minimum stay is one term and extensions can be arranged subject to availability.

Facilities

QRC Lodge is managed by the Student Relations team but will also have on site mangers on the premises.

The halls of residence have the following facilitiesStudent bar and lounge

  • Two student lounges, one ideal for socialising and
  •  one ideal for study
  • 2 pool tables and plasma screen TV's
  • Restaurant offering fully catered meals.
  • Breakfasts Monday- Sunday and Dinners Monday- Friday
  • Full kitchen facilities for students to make their own meals
  • Laundry facilities (washers & dryers)
  • Tennis Court
  • Student car parking
  • BBQ area and sun deck

Student accommodation

QRC Lodge has fully furnished rooms with the following:

  • Beds (single or queen depending on request)
  • En-suite bathroom
  • Bedding-duvet and pillows supplied. (Pillow cases, sheets and towels are to be supplied by each student)
  • Television
  • Mini fridge
  • Desk
  • Wardrobe
  • Rubbish bin

There are two options for accommodation:

Twin share

These rooms have two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. You will share with another student of the same sex. We do welcome requests with whom you wish to room with, however they are a request and not a guarantee.

Single Rooms

These rooms are your own private room with a queen bed with an en-suite bathroom. These are limited and are offered on a first in first served basis and incur a surcharge.
