Course Description

The ability to communicate effectively with the public through the media is of significance to certain segments of New Zealand. This course will assist you in identifying and improving your communications with the media. Participants will develop individual strategic communication plans in order to meet the challenges of a changing and diverse business environment. Instruction will occur in group discussion and individual sessions.

Who Is The Course Designed For?

This course id designed for those in a Marketing Communications role either with or without formal PR training. It is ideal for any individual wishing to ‘go it alone' and establish their own agency or, alternatively, as a ‘refresher' for those who are either launching a new product or in need of some new ideas.

Kathy Cunningham is the director of empire PR and Events. She created the company 15 years ago when she moved to New Zealand after working in New York City as the Director of Special events for the international charity, Covenant House. empire is an award winning agency that recently won an NZAEP (The New Zealand Association of Event Professionals) as well as a Global Gold MAC (Marketing Achievement and Creativity) for the premier of the movie, Everest.
empire is proud to have placed millions of dollars in publicity for events such as the Auckland Seafood Festival, the Devonport Wine and Food Festival, and for charity clients like Kids-Can.

Fee

The fee is NZ$ 1,800 plus GST. This includes tuition, course materials, refreshments, lunches, class dinners and a cocktail welcome the night before the course commences.
