The New Zealand Experience - Uniquely Kiwi

Falling in love with New Zealand is a common affliction for the traveller but how many visitors really understand what makes our country and our people unique? Uniquely Kiwi delves into New Zealand’s fascinating past to help uncover what has shaped our diverse and multicultural nation.

From the top of Queenstown’s famous gondola with its awe inspiring views, Uniquely Kiwi begins with a traditional Maori welcome. You will step into the world of the Maori and feel the spirit of our proud cultural history celebrated through traditional song and dance.

Through the course guest presenters will teach you about early voyagers, rugged pioneers and backyard genius, all part of the historical backbone that has formed the recognisable traits of our national character; friendliness, quiet but rugged individualism, self reliance and that famous 'kiwi ingenuity'.

You’ll be taught more about Maori culture, language and custom and New Zealand’s place in world politics. Your tour options will include a journey of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ country where you will be overwhelmed by the dramatic landscape of Paradise Valley, local arts and culture, or retracing the footsteps of gold miners with a visit to historic Arrowtown. Uniquely Kiwi is a unique learning adventure.
