Careers Advisory and Teacher Familiarisation Visit to QRC

Last month QRC hosted its annual careers advisors and teachers famil. This provides these influential people with the chance to view QRC facilities first hand.  It also gives them the opportunity to meet current students and academic / operational staff at QRC.

Activities included becoming a QRC student for a day and sitting in on ‘classes’ that explained the programmes in detail.  The group heard from Head of School and Hospitality Management Programme Manager, Harvey Bourne, Adventure Tourism Management Programme Manager, Chris Warburton and Careers Manager, Rachel Exell.

After a hard day’s learning it was ‘fun time’, including a trip on Queenstown's world famous Kawarau Jet. The day ended with a three-course fine dining experience in the QRC Common Room served by term one and two Diploma of Hospitality Management students.
