QRC Students lend a helping hand at TRENZ

Back in May students from Hospitality Management, Adventure Tourism Management and Snowsport Business Management helped out at TRENZ 2011 through our Student Ambassador Programme.

Supported by QRC Training and Development Manager Fiona Boyer, students had the opportunity to muck-in, meet industry professionals and experience first-hand the engine room of the tourism business.

TRENZ was hosted in Queenstown for the first time and welcomed more than 280 influential international travel buyers from New Zealand’s most important visitor markets.

Prime Minister and Tourism Minister John Key, talking at the TRENZ VIP function, signalled out the importance of what QRC was doing in addressing service levels and professionalism in the industry.

The positive feedback from tourism leaders regarding the professionalism of QRC students and the outstanding manner with which they represented themselves and the College has been endless.
